The racing season has ended and the holidays are here, so now is a time to reflect on all the emotions we have felt, thanks to the sport of NASCAR, the drivers, owners, teams and sponsors.

NASCAR finally filed for divorce this week. Sports Business Journal reports that after years of being stuck in a bad marriage with Turner Sports, NASCAR is finally taking the rather extraordinary step of negotiating to buy out the last two years of the abysmally bad contract that gives Turner exclusive rights to all NASCAR-related content online. It is abysmally bad because Turner has squandered those rights and has been in no big rush to grow the sport online
